Fun Fact about Hammerhead Shark

The uniquely shaped head of a Hammerhead shark is called a cephalofoil. It gives them supercharged sensory perception. The wide, flat shape spreads out their electroreceptors (called ampullae of Lorenzini), allowing them to detect the faint electrical signals of hidden prey like stingrays buried under sand.
